Great vegetarian selection and highly customizable. Service was great even though we were in a big group. The desserts are to die for. Since we were a large group we landed up trying a spoon of everything. For the entree we had ordered Tamarind sauce (it is not just a sauce! ), Sweet and sour sauce (this neither!) and pineapple...
For a town as small as Lowell, we did not expect this sort of quality. The Miso soup, the sushi, the pad Thai, the satay, and the tempura impressed us with their portion size and flavour.
After being seated, we got our drinks and food rather quickly. We got the bento boxes so we started with Miso soup. From what we had, we were very impressed (and stomachs very full) with Blue Taleh.
If you are into all the food we listed in this review, and don't mind if the servers are a little cold in manner, this is your destination.
AWFUL food and services. I wish I can give it no stars. I worked at a Japanese Restaurants for 3 years so I know what is fresh fish and what is sushi that has been sitting in the refrigerator for a long time. For the price that was charged, I was expecting at least a decent quality of sushi, but unfortunately, the sashimi we got was simply inedible and awful. When we brought this to the waitress attention, asking her to maybe swap it out and give us something else, she said no. When we ask for the manager, the manager starts the conversation by bringing in the sushi chef and stated that the sushi chef have 15 years of experience and that I only have three, so I am a "liar". it was unbelievable the attitude they show to the customers. You can say I will never go back to this place. And I highly advise anyone to not go to this place.
We heard good things about this place, couldn't wait to go. First we sat in the bar area and waited 15 minutes before someone took our drink order. Then we moved to an outside table, waitress walked by 5 times, never said a word to us. She Waited on tables both sides of us, never looked at us or said be right with you, nothing. So after 20 minutes we got up and left. No one noticed, no one seemed to care.
We got drawn in by the words "Japanese and Thai cuisine" and "Sushi. The second door is a little jammed in place so it needs a hard tug to open.
There is a wide selection of fresh and delicious sushi. The drinks are refreshing with many exotic options. Great atmosphere. A bit pricey, but worth it. I definitely recommend this place.
